Lent begins on February 17 with Ash Wednesday. It is a time the church has a new focus which calls each individual to “examine” the life one is living. Some people give something up to improve one’s walk with God and takes on something that will strengthen one’s faith journey. Lent follows Valentine’s Day, the day when love is expressed. Ash Wednesday (Feb 17) with the imposition of ashes as a reminder of our sinful nature but also guides us towards Easter, a time when God’s love was experienced on earth.
I will begin an experiment, which I hope you will join me. Each Sunday, beginning on February 21 at 5 pm, I will offer a zoom group for all children and youth. This will be a time where we explore our faith and get to connect with each other. There will be games, scripture and lots of input from all attending.
